A Glimpse into My First Burn<\/strong><\/h3>

A Burn is not a festival.<\/em>
It\u2019s a state of being. An invitation. A space between the worlds.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

It\u2019s hard to put into words what happens when 1,700 people come together\u2014not to party, but to create.
Some arrived to consume. But for many, it became a vast field of creativity and self-expression.<\/p>

Burning Man Netherlands \u2013 Where the Sheep Sleep - was exactly such a space.
A lush, green meadow, embraced by trees, filled with camps that were more than tents: small universes with kitchens, fire pits, workshops, and art installations.
A place without food trucks. Without commerce. Without spectators.
There was absolutely nothing for sale.\u00a0
Instead, you could stumble upon clothing swap stations\u2014a beautiful way to let go of the old and discover something new.<\/p>

At a Burn, you don\u2019t watch. You contribute.
As a ranger, a DJ, a helping hand, a cleaner, a workshop facilitator.
Everyone brings something\u2014a drink, a dance, or a moment of genuine connection.<\/p>

When a Camp Comes to Life<\/strong><\/h3>

Our camp was called Whispers of the Flesh<\/em>.
A name that fit perfectly\u2014because it wasn\u2019t about volume, but about depth.
Not about entertainment, but experience.<\/p>

We had a physical body: tents, a shade-giving tree, a heat-resistant shelter, and our own kitchen.
And we had a soul: people who stayed. Who listened. Who leaned in.
There was rope. There was laughter. Silence. Questions.
And right in the middle: me.\u00a0<\/p>

Not as an entertainer.
But as a space holder.
With rope. With intention. With open hands.<\/p>

By my side: Kara<\/p>

A precious companion.
The visible soul of our work.
With patience, courage, and an open heart.<\/p>

Workshops Beyond Technique<\/strong><\/h3>

I offered daily workshops.
Tantric Shibari.<\/em>
Classic rope techniques\u2014for singles and for couples.<\/em>
Live performances with Q&A.<\/em><\/p>

What stayed was never the technique\u2014it was the feeling.
The silence after a knot.
The gaze when something shifts inside.
The energy when strangers meet in the ropes.<\/p>

Some came with question marks.
Others with clear expectations.
And many left with something they couldn\u2019t quite name\u2014but would carry with them.<\/p>

I Didn\u2019t See Everything \u2013 But I Gave Everything<\/strong><\/h3>

There was so much to explore: performances, light art, music, countless other workshops.
And yet\u2014I mostly stayed in our camp.
Not because I had to. But because that\u2019s where I was needed.<\/p>

I wasn\u2019t a spectator. I was part of it.
A host, a player, a steady presence in constant change.<\/p>

And at some point, I realized:
My contribution wasn\u2019t to experience as much as possible.
It was to hold space\u2014so others could experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Dragon and the Egg<\/strong><\/h3>

Saturday night became a ritual.
A towering dragon\u2014crafted with care, majestic and temporary.
In its chest: an egg.
Our egg.<\/p>

Kara and I stepped into that space.
No music. No words.
Just rope.
Just breath.
Just trust.<\/p>

Slowly, mindfully, deeply connected.
A rope performance like a silent prayer.<\/p>

When we stepped back out, we bowed.
Time stood still.
And then\u2014everything ignited.

What Remains When the Fire Dies?<\/strong><\/h3>

A little bit of ash.
And a memory that lingers in me\u2014like a song without sound.<\/p>

I\u2019m not empty. I\u2019m full.
I didn\u2019t see much. But I felt everything.<\/p>
